Instructions for Using NDH2412SC:

  1. Input Connection:

    • Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the input pin of the NDH2412SC.
    • Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
  2. Output Connection:

    • Connect the output pin to the load or circuit that requires a regulated 3.3V supply.
    • The maximum continuous output current is 1.2A, with a peak of 1.5A.
  3. Ground Connection:

    • Connect the ground (GND) pin to the common ground of the system.
  4. Capacitors:

    • Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor close to the input pin to filter out high-frequency noise.
    • Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor close to the output pin to stabilize the output voltage.
  5. Shutdown Function:

    • To enable the shutdown function, connect the shutdown (SHDN) pin to GND. This will reduce the supply current to approximately 1-5μA.
    • To activate the regulator, connect the SHDN pin to VIN or leave it floating.
  6. Thermal Considerations:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation if the regulator is operating at high output currents or in high ambient temperatures.
    • The thermal shutdown temperature is typically 160°C to 180°C to protect the device from overheating.
  7. Operating Environment:

    • The operating junction temperature range is -40°C to 125°C.
    • The storage temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
  8. PCB Layout:

    • Use a good PCB layout to minimize parasitic inductance and resistance.
    • Keep the input and output capacitors as close as possible to the regulator pins.
  9. Testing:

    • Before finalizing the design, test the regulator under various load conditions to ensure stable operation and proper regulation.
  10. Compliance:

    • Ensure that the design complies with all relevant safety and regulatory standards for the application.
