Instructions for Use:

  1. Handling:

    • Handle the resistor with care to avoid mechanical damage.
    • Avoid touching the resistive element to prevent contamination.
  2. Mounting:

    • Ensure the surface mount pads on the PCB are clean and free of debris.
    • Apply solder paste to the pads as per the recommended amount.
    • Place the resistor on the pads using a pick-and-place machine or tweezers.
    • Reflow solder according to the recommended reflow profile.
  3. Soldering:

    • Preheat the PCB to 150°C to 180°C.
    • Use a reflow soldering process with a peak temperature of 230°C to 250°C.
    • Ensure the soldering time does not exceed 10 seconds.
  4. Testing:

    • After soldering, visually inspect the joints for proper alignment and solder flow.
    • Measure the resistance value to ensure it falls within the specified tolerance range.
    • Test the power rating by applying the maximum rated power and monitoring the temperature rise.
  5. Storage:

    • Store the resistors in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
    • Keep the components in their original packaging until ready for use.
  6. Disposal:

    • Dispose of the resistor in accordance with local environmental regulations.
    • Ensure compliance with RoHS and REACH standards for waste management.
